Loan Sharks now Hunting Schools LRD pg 4

In the article, you read about the tactics loan sharks are using to recruit young people to work for them. Imagine you are the Head Prefect in the school and you decide to write a letter to your schoolmates to discourage them from working for the loansharks and to make sure everyone knows about this problem.

Dear boys and girls,

I am the head prefect of the school and I would like to share some information with you about loan sharks going to schools to recruit students to join their gangs. Loan sharks are illegal money lenders who lend money to other people. For instance, these loan sharks would usually give you a loan of five hundred dollars and demand you to pay back a thousand dollars due to the throat-cutting high interest rates. It is totally not worth it because you would have to pay back twice the amount you have borrowed. If you could not pay back the amount you had borrowed, the loan sharks would hunt for you. Very often, they resort to violence and threats, beating you to a pulp when you could not pay up. Sometimes, they would haunt you by going to your house to splash red paint on the door of your house. So, please do not join the loan sharks or borrow money from them. If you are experiencing problems with any loan sharks, it would be better for you to turn to your teachers for advice and alert the police for help before it is too late. It is illegal to join the loan sharks in their activities. Engage in healthy and meaningful activities at community centres with your friends and family members instead.

Yours sincerely,

Lie Zhou (Head Prefect)

Dear everyone,

I would like to inform all of you about loan sharks hunting in schools. The loan sharks are recruiting people to join their so-called ‘law enforcement team’, thinking of ways to lure you out of your house and make you gamble with them. Once you have lost all your money, they will lend you money and then charge you interest day by day. Some of them would even ask you to pay up immediately after a few days. If you are unable to pay up, they would spray paint outside your house. Sometimes, they would also force you to help them to smuggle drugs into other countries. You would most probably get caught by the law enforcers and given the death sentence. Hence, I would like to remind all of you not to join their association as they would offer you nothing but plenty of trouble. Your academic results would suffer and your parents would be worried sick. Spare a thought for your family and those who really care about you. Steer clear of the loan sharks.

Yours sincerely,
Nigel Tan (Head Prefect)

Dear friends,
I am the head prefect of the school. This message is very important.Being a loan shark is a very serious offence. You have to be very careful not to fall into the loan shark traps. The loan sharks will look for young people like us,to do a job. They will ask you to give out name cards. If you give out 1000 name cards, you will earn $13.Not only that, you will be caught by the policeand also paying a fine og huge sum of money.$13 for giving out 1000 name cards and paying a huge sum of fine, does it all worth $13?Paying a huge sum of fine cost about $500 to $1000, and you earn only $13.Is it a very big difference. Please be very careful.

Dear pupils,
I would like to inform you about loan sharks hunting schools. They are recruiting young people to work for them. First they would lure you out of the house and ask you to gamble with them. And then when you are out of money, they would lend you some money and day by day you have no choice but to work for them for a living. They would torture you so please do not help them.

yours sincerely,

I think that borrowing or lending from loan sharks is a very bad thing to do. I agree with amelia, because if we do not repay them back the money, they would pour paint on your doors and maybe even hang an pig head there and u would be scared of them. You would also reget borrowing or joining their group.

I encourage all of you not to do any jobs recomended on the internets because....Firstly, you are too young to take on jobs.Secondly, you would be working at night and there's a high possibilty of you'all to get hurt. And moreover most who work for them are mostly caught by polices. So never take on loanshark jobs!!!!

Dear Lai Sze,

I read your comment and there some grammar and spelling errors.Ialso have a suggestion, why don't the security guards of the school prevent loan sharks or even suspicious looking people to enter the school. It might be very dangerous as they migt hunt down students to work for them.If the police finds about the students are working for the loan sharks, they might be fined or even jailed.so be careful not to be hunted down by the loan sharks.

Dear friends,
I would like to warn you about a serious matter. I have been told that loansharks have been hunting down primary school pupils. I believe that they are doing so because if primary school students get caught giving loans, then, the punishment wil be less harsh than the punishment for an adult. If you do get asked to join the loanshark, refuse. It is true that if you join them you will earn money but you will most likely get caught. If you don't get caught then it is true you wil earn quite a sum of money but deep down inside you will know that what you are doing is wrong and you will have a bad feeling for almost the rest of your life. If you already joined the loansharks and only now you realize your mistake, I don't think it's possible to go back anymore. Resulting you to regret your actions. You are doing a favour for yourself by not joining the loansharks. Help other people too by sending them this message. Don't get sucked into the loansharks's trap!

Sincerely,
Your Headprefect,
Anya Prabowo,

Bad news!Bad news!Loan sharks are taking over us!Please do not fall into the loan sharks' trap!Even though they will pay you money,do not join them. They will land you in jail,it is not worth it.However if they force you, just say that you will do it and immediately, report to the principal that you were forced to join the loan sharks.Loan sharks are making use of children like us now because they believe that we will not face a penalty or fine like adults if we are caught by the police. This is false! The punishment is equally severe. The little sum of money you earn isn't worth the risk of a criminal record.Once you are caught by the police, the record will never be erased.Do not fall into the loan sharks' trap!

Dear pupils,
I am the Head prefct of this school.I have come to warn you NOT TO JOIN LOANSHARKS!
WHO ARE LOANSHARKS?
They are gangs that influence you to gamble until you have no money.
Then?
They use runners[young people that helps loanshark gangs ]to lend you money.if you do not pay them on time,[not to mention that they charge a very high interest]they will harass you by
1:splashing paint on your front door[usually o$p$]
2:putting a pig head at your doorstep.
3:putting another lock on your door.
4:knocking on your front door and yelling something like,"you owe as money !return it now!"
Oh and not to mention
they use those young teens or secondary pupils.the police will just arrest the runners and will [hopefully]not arrest the real masterminds![THE RINGLEADERS]
REMEMBER,
IT IS A VERY SERIOUS OFFENCE TO AID LOANSHARKS!!!!

Dear pupils, this is your head prefect Naomi. I am writing to discourage you from joining the loansharks or taking loans from them. If you join them, sooner or later, you will be caught by the police and be behind bars. Another reason why you shouldn't join them is because you will neglect your studies and friends. Youa also shouldn't take loans from them. If you don't return back the money on time, the loansharks will threaten you or even try to burn down or rob your house. Also, you have to give back 2x the amount of money you borrowed from them, which definitely isn't fair. Hope you understand. Your fellow head prefect, Naomi.

To all pupils,
I am the head prefect. I would like to inform all of you that there has been loan shark activity in the school recently. The principal is very worried about the situation and she has called the police so that they can assess the situation. If you encounter any loan shark, stay calm and do the following:
-Decline his/her offer
-ask for his/her address and number
-Report to your teacher IMMEDIATELY!
The principal will report the case to the police and the police will take action
If you follow the loan shark,
you will be in grave danger.

Dear fellow friends,
I am your school Head Prefect,I am writing to discourage you from joining the loansharks or taking loans from them as there has been an increase of such events. Please do not join the loan sharks as it is against the law and you may get sent to the boy's home, which I think none of you want. You will also be forced to do horrible things. You may be under the impression that being a loanshark is cool but I tell you that it is not cool and you will only pick up bad habbits like smoking, drinking and fighting. You might also get tatoos which are very difficult to take off.I discourage you from they taking loans from them as they are not fair, have high interest rates and they will trouble you and your family if you do not pay back.If you have any financial problems, please do not hesitate to tell them to your form teacher and they would do all they can to help you get over it.So please do not become a loanshark or take loans from them as it does more harm than good.

Regards,
