Fairness:be fair to everyone even though its your enemies or your rivals.
Tolerence:tolerate to your highest level of tolerence if people keep talking nonsence.
The residents should have been GRACIOUS by sharing the durian with one and another. They should not complain. They should tolerate even though its not their durian. They should respect MR Lim sentence about the tree.
Graciousness: Mr R lim should be well mannered and he should have the right attitude. He can be gracious by sharing the durians.
Respect: The neighbours should respect one another. They should also be willing to accept their different point of views.
Honesty: If Mr R lim took a durian,he should at least put up a notice that he took one.
Kindness:If the durian tree was planted by his father,he should let others share the durian.
Honesty: If Mr R lim snatched a durian from a neighbour. The neighbour accidentally dropped it and then he snatched it. Instead of snatching it, he should have return it.
Adaptability: Mr R lim should bond with the neighbours and eat durians together instead of eating it by himself.
The values are
Graciousness : Everybody must be gracious to each other by understanding one another and not to scold other people expletives.
Respect : Respect each other by listening to them while they are talking.
Compassion : Do not talk to people rudely.
Everyone should be gracious to one another by sharing the durian.
Mr R Lim must have the INTEGRITY to tell the others the truth.
Mr R Lim should respect everyone even the durians.
If it belongs to Mr R Lim he should have shared.
The values are graciousness, respect, compasion and integrity.Graciosness is being well-mannered and having the right attitude while respect is about respecting even other each other races.Compasion is about caring for others unconditionly and with sincerity.Integrity is talking ownership of my actions by being responsible, truthful and fair in dealings with others.
Example: Graciousness & Respect can help by paying respects to each other.
Compassion can help to share the durians and instead of quarreling over a durian tree.
Intergrity can help by Mr R.Lim to be honest to tell the truth about the durian tree.
The values are graciousness, respect and share honesty. We must learn to respect our neighbours and try to cooperate with each other. We must share the durians among our neighbours.Everybody should learn to be more responsible. If we accidently take the durian,we must at least tell the neightbours.
The values sharing ,honesty, respect and responsibility.
The neighbours should share the durians with one another.Mr Lim must not tell lies and always speaks the truth. The neighbours should not quarrel with one another. If the durian tree belongs to Mr Lim, he should take care of the durian tree and not plant it in the public place.
neighbours should respect one another and not quarel.
Respect and Graciousness:
The more selfish you are, the more people wll not like you. if we don't share, you will not be happy. So Mr Lim should share because if he does not, nobody will respect him in the future and what will he do with so many durians?
As neighbours, they should not fight over the durians. The values are Graciousness and respect. Mr Lim should share the durians even though the tree is his father’s. Mr Lim also should not snatch durians from his neighbours. He should at least put a notice that the tree belong to him and the neighbours should have asked him before taking the durians.
Graciousness:
If each of them is gracious enough they would share among themselves, & so that the quarrel would not take place.
Respect:
They should respect one another; e.g.: if someone took the durian they should not snatch what is not theirs.
1. Graciousness: The tree is planted in public area so NO one can take the durians. ONLY the government can take it.
2. Respect: Respect everyone. Do not fight for the durians although durians are Singaporeans’ favourite fruit.
3. Integrity: Do not lie like saying that your father planted the tree. Just say you want it instead of lying.
4. Do not fight because someone said something to you. Sticks and Stones may hurt your bones, but words can never hurt you.
5. Why do you want the tree to be cut? It’s a living thing just like you. Leave it there! Never be so calculative. Unless in a job and you want to get fired.
Graciousness:
If each of them is gracious enough they would share among themselves, & so that the quarrel would not take place.
Respect:
They should respect one another; e.g.: if someone took the durian they should not snatch what is not theirs.
Mr R.Lim should be polite and share the durians even though his neighbors took the durians.
1. RESPECT: Mr R.Lim should not complain to the town council just because it was making everyone fight for the tree’s fruit, as the tree have a life u cannot take a life away even though other people want his durians.
2. Resilience: Madam Lily Wee should not call the police because her neighbor hurled expletives when she tried to
take a durian home.
Graciousness: Mr. Lim should share the durians with the residents instead of fighting/claiming that the durian tree is his, resulted that he owns the durian.
Respect: Mdm. Wee should not say that Mr. Lim belongs to the ugly group and that all people are the good group.
Integrity: If the tree is planted in the public garden, then it should be the public’s tree, not his tree. He should share.
Extra suggestion: Mr Lim should not be a selfish person and share his durians to fellow passers-by. If not people could buy durians for less than S$10.00
Graciousness: They should have used kind words to one another and MR Lim should have shared the durians with everyone.
Kindness: they should not ask the town council to cut down the tree just because of their unhappiness.

Respect: Mr Lim should not say those expletives to Madam Lily Wee after she tried to take the durians. Mr. Lim should have apologized to Madam Lily Wee. He should have respected her.
Graciousness: If the tree belongs to Mr Lim’s father, he should have shared the durians with his neighbours. He should not have been so selfish. He should have been gracious.
Integrity: Mr Lim should not have claimed that the durian tree was planted by his father 20 years ago as it was planted on public land and does not belong to anyone.
Graciousness: I think the people there should be gracious. Because they should share the durians instead of snatching the Durians.
Honesty : I think Mr. R Lim should not quarrel and lie about the durian tree saying that his father planted it.
Respect: They should not scold each other but ask kindly to return the durians even if the tree is really theirs.
Selfish: Mr. R Lim should share the durians because good things should be shared with people .
Now, the government had come to the issue, the residents there cannot have the durians as government said not to take the durians.
Some residents asked to chop the tree down but the government announced it is their tree.
R- Respect each Other after all they are neighbors.
E- Enjoy the food together.
S- Share the durian(s)
P- People should not fight just because they didn’t get durians.
E- Everybody should have an equal amount of durians.
C- Compassionate to one another
T- Talk to each other nicely.
F- Fair to each other.
A- Aunties and uncles should treat each other well.
I- Integrity should be shown to one another
R- Respect the durian tree
L- Love each
O- Other
V- Very much.
E- Everybody will be much happier. \(^.^)/
Graciousness / Respect: We have to be gracious to one another especially with neighbors! We have to learn how to share things instead of fighting over a durian tree. Fighting is NEVER the answer!! Everybody has to be fair no matter how good, bad or ugly they are. Always be polite and do not shout.
Integrity: Don’t lie just because you want the durians. Always own up and don’t make up stories. Do not be afraid to pluck up your courage and tell the truth. Ask people for permission before taking their belongings.
Compassion: Give the durians to the people who need them more. Be it for health reasons or that their family is starving. Don’t care only for yourself. Think about others too! Always keep in mind that trees are living things and have feelings too…!
I agree with what lovewell's group wrote cause we need to be respectful for each other and fair to be equal with each other. And most of all.love is very important cause love make everyone happy!
I Agree With Jay's Group Beacuse They Have Very Creative Minds GREAT JOB!
DURIAN QUARREL
Some values the residents should show during this situation are……
Respect , Responsibility and Integrity.
As what we can see , the residents have not shown these values.
Mr R Lim should have shared the durians with the residents instead of keeping it for himself.as for the residents, they should have shown respect to Mr R Lim ,asking for permission before taking the durians.
Mr R Lim did not show responsibility for his durian tree as he doesn’t want to share it ,it is still planted in the public even though the durian tree is his .He should have take up the responsibility securing the durian tree , if he doesn’t want the public to take his durians.
Mr R Lim must show integrity too , if the durian tree is not planted by his father he should tell the truth and not lie about it.
I think that lovewell's group is creative and meaningful. (other groups too.)
I agree on Lovewell's group as not only do I find it true, but it is also very CREATIVE!
I personally think Jay and Aqil's group is the best of the best. They have the most creative post compared to others. They used creativity and had good potential.
Zee Hyo, that idea about $10 was a good idea!!!
I think Jay's group is very creative and meaningful. It has the right values but in a very creative idea of writing it!
I think Mr lim shoud not have snatched the fallen duian from the resident and he should share the fallen druain with them.
Well,I find that Mr R Lim should have have not been so selfish and have keep all the durians to himself. He should have gave a durian each to his neighbours so that every one can have a piece of durian and Mr R Lim would feel happy for sharing!I also on the other hand do not find that we should chop the tree down as it is Mr R Lim's proprety. If I were Mr R Lim,and my favourite tree was chopped ,I would be dissapointed. We should continue to let the durian tree to grow as from what I see at my point of view , the durian tree is not easy to be planted.
I agree that one should hold up values to be a good person. Here are some tips :
-Be Respectful!( Think how others feel)
-Have Resillence! ( Never give up!)
Hope I have Helped...
We should share what we have with others. We should not be grredy and just for a durian tree, they lied. And even if Mr Lim managed to get the tree, he would not finish all the durians by himself.
I think that the man should not be so selfish. However, I also think that he had a point because durian trees are very rare in Singapore. Neverhteless, he should have shared the durians with other residents because he would not have been able to finish all the durians by himself.
I think that Mr Lim should not be so selfish as not to share the durians with the neighbours if the tree is really his grandfather's.He should share the durians with the neighbours graciously and when the neighbours want to eat it he should also give them to eat.Everybody should be kind and gracious to each other
5 graciousness
Mr lim should have not taken the durian he should ask the owner of the durian tree if he could have one.It is his fault.if he owned the tree he should have put his name on it but he does not have any proof that the tree is his.

I think that we should not hut these endangered animal. The sharks need their fins to swim and they will die if they cannot swim. And if that happens I rather you take the whole shark, and why do people need to drink shark’s fin soup. The sharks are living things they deserve to live. So we should not drink shark fin soup and stop hunting sharks!
5 Graciousness
I think Mr. Lim should not claim that the durian is his beacause he has no evidence that it belongs to him. Even if it is his, it is on public property and should be shared with others otherwise chopped down because it's fruits are a danger to people passing by if they walk under the tree.
5Graciousness
We should be gracious and not claim that something that does not belong to you is yours. The reason for this value is that Mr Lim claims that the durian tree is his. He said that the durian tree was planted by his father 20 years ago.My opinion is that we should not be greedy.
5 Graciousness
I think that the man should not have been so selfish. However, I think that he also had a point because durian trees are very rare in Singapore. Nevertheless, he should have shared the durians with other residents as he would not have been able to eat all the durians by himself.
5 Graciousness
Those people are REALLY stingy! Food is for everyone, ok??? It's not like there is only one durian in the whole wde world, is there? If I were one of them, I would probably say, " Friends, let's have a deal: Either we play poker to see who wins the biggest piece, or cut it equally among ourselves. You definitely do NOT want to gamble, right?" And then they would say, "NO! NEVER!!!!!!!!!!" And then the problem is solved.
5 Graciousness
i think that mr lim should not snatch durian from his neighbours because it was not him that planted the durian tree,it was his grandfather that planted it.therefore he does not have the right to snatch the durian from his neighbours.-_-(:
I think they should have graciousness: They should use kind words, and politely to work out their difficulties. They should also be fair: The tree was planted by Mr. Lim's father but it is now on public grounds, so it can be considered open to public. Lastly, they should be patient, Mr. Lim should not have immediately denied the residents plea to want durian, he should have considered the fact that the tree is currently on public grounds. On top of that, Mr. lim should have been genorous. After all, they also live in the same block.

I think that Mr R Lim should share the durians with his neighbours and not to himself. If he share the durians, there will not be any quarrel. He also should not snatch the durians from the person who had taken it. He should just ask the person to give it back to him or put a sign that says no taking of durians from this tree.
5 Graciousness.
I think that the values should be integrity, respect, compassion, and kindness so that we can all get along. We should also stop being so stubborn and listen to other people's opinions.

I think that Mr R Lim should hve shared the durians instead of fighting for just some durians. A durian each to a neighbour is kind of little as the tree can bear fruits again. I think that this should not affect their relationship. If it does, I suggest that he should learn how to share. We should always share with those who are close to you and if you are in trouble, you can share your thoughts with them.
5 Graciousness
I think that Mr. Lim should not have snatched the durians and should have shared them instead. Even though it was his grandfather who has planted the durians, it was planted on the government’s property.

We should be nice to each other and not snatch other’s things like what Mr R. Lim did. As neighbours, they should respect each other and if they want to take the durians home to eat , they should ask Mr R. Lim for permission and not take it as they want.
5 Graciousness
They should have patience, graciousness and understanding.
they have to understand why their fellow neighbours are acting the way they are and try to prevent them from doing so. thay have to be gracious with each other and not use harch words when they disagree with each other. they have to be patient and not get too angry with others` stinginess.
5 graciousness
In my opinion, I think Mr Lim should not have snatched the durian from the residents and not be so selfish. He should have at least given some durian to his neighbours and not keep it for himself. He should have a bit of graciousness and share. If I were in his shoes, I would share the durians equally to my next door neighbours. We should not only care for ourselves.
I think we shouldn't be so selfish to eat Durian just all by myself, i think we should share with each other and be socialized and we shouldnot be so fussy over durian that is girl things right?expecially aunties.

Graciousness: They should use kind words to each other instead of quarreling. Share the durians and don’t be so greedy
Respect: Mr R. Lim should not snatch the durians away from others.
Integrity: Mr R. Lim should tell the truth instead of lying.

The residents could have enjoy the durains together, but because of their selfishness they were arguing instead of eating the durains together.I felt that Mr R Lim should not have claim all the durains as his, instead he should have shared the durains with the other residents. If the residents had discuss clamly, they would not have argue. They should have the values Respect and Integrity. If they had these values, they would have prevented the arguement from happening
5 Graciousness
We all should be good citizens and neighbours. This article tells us not to be selfish and think only about ourselves. We should also not revenge on someone who has done something bad to you.

The durian tree is a living thing. just let it live. the thing is that some people like the smell but some don't.So why not just move house to a further block.

The residents should have been gracious.Mr Lim should not have been so selfish.I also think that the owner shoud have been the residents living in the flat.
The residents should have GRACIOUSNESS so that they will be able to share the durians among themselves.
Mr R Lim should also have been SELFLESS and let the residents pick the durians. After all, he can also pick a few durians to eat. What can he do with so many durians? He should also have RESPECTED Mdm Wee by not hurling expletives at her because you can hurt peoples' feelings with words. If the residents had had these values, there would not have been a durian quarrel.
The residents should practice gracoiusness and learn to share, this way, they can live in peace with others and by sharing, they can be friendly towards each other. They must also respect each other. If you are in need, your neighbour can help you solve your problems,so that means that it pays to be kind and friendly.
Kong Zhi Jing 6 Respect
The values that we must have are respect, graciousness and integrity. The neighbours should respect each other by not fighting over durians. Graciousness is to noy saying expletives at each other. Integrity is to not keep all durianns to oneself. With this 3 values, there would not be a quarral. Rachel Phang
6 Respect
Residents should not try to take the durian as it does not belong to them and is on government land. Even if it was planted by one of the residents, they still should not try to harvest the durian. If the person who owns the tree does not want others to harvest the durian, they should not have planted the tree on that piece of land. Planting on other people's property is being slefish and only thinking about yourself and not thinking about others.

I think that Mr R Lim should share his durians with his neighbours. They should not argue but share his durians. Mr R Lim should have been a bit graciousness and share with his neighbours.
I think residents should learn to share and not fight over a durian tree. Mr. R. Lim should be more gracious and share the durians with others. He cannot possibly eat all the durians by himself. He should also not hurt Mdm. Wee with words. If the residents are more respectful and gracious, there would not be a durian quarrel.
5 Graciousness BTPS
In this situation, one must have graciousness and respect because overall, they are neighbors. Why should be fight over a durian tree and break their friendly neighbor relationship. One must be respectful by using kinder words so as to avoid a conflict. One must be gracious by sharing the durians equally among themselves.
5 Graciousness
The neighbours should be kind, gracious and respectful towards each other since they are living in a close knit society. As the durian tree is planted on public land, the durian should be shared among all the neighbours. The neighbours should practise tolerence and understand why Mr R. Lim is behaving in such an erratic behaviour. Mr R. Lim should be generous to share the durians even if it is true that his father had planted it 20 years ago. All should strive for a peaceful and cohesive neighbourhood.
-5 Graciousness
The durians are falling. So what just ask the police to set up a barrier around it. ask your self this question would you care if there is a durian tree outside your block, for me I just think of it as something to eat full stop and final. There is nothing much to complain about just ask people not to walk there easy.
5 graciousness
Graciousness-> Even though Mr Lim had claimed that the durian tree was planted by his father, the durian tree is now on public grounds. This means that everybody should have a fair share of the durians. Mr Lim should also share the durians with his neighbors and eat together instead of quarreling (if the claim that the durian tree belongs to him is true).
Respect-> Mdm Wee could have provoked him in some way, thus his reaction. Instead of just jumping to conclusions that Mr Lim is lying, they could also look into the matter. But Mr Lim should also show the residents respect by not snatching the durians from them.
Integrity-> If the durian tree really belongs to Mr Lim, then he should have taken the responsibility to care for the durian tree such that residents would not be snatching the durian from each other. But if the durian tree did not belong to Mr Lim, he should have told the truth- even after he tells the truth, it does not mean that he would never get to taste the fruits from the tree.
5 Graciousness
I think that Mr Lim should not have snatched the durians that his neighbors had managed to find as he has no right to snatch the durian away from his neighbors as it is on public property and he has no evidence that it belongs to him. I think the tree should not be chopped down as it helped the neighbors to bond with one another.
We should continue to let the durian tree to grow as from what I see at my point of view , the durian tree is not easy to be planted.
i think they should show each other respect and not quarel over durians although they are realy tempting to pick up and it is suppose to bond relationships with the neighbours while waiting fotr the durians to drop. i also think that Mr Lim should not have snatched the durians that his neighbors had managed to find as he has no right to snatch the durian away from his neighbors as it is on public property and he has no evidence that it belongs to him. I think the tree should not be chopped down as it helped the neighbors to bond with one another as i said earlier.
I think that mr lim should not have snatch the durians from his neighbours as it is very rude and dangerous. It is dangerous as the durians have thorns that are sharp and could injure his neighbours.I think the durian tree should not be chopped down as it will help mr lim and his neighbours to build up their friendship by sharing the durians.
I think that they should have the values:graciousness, respect, integrity and selflessness. Mr Lim should have shared the durians with his neighbours instead of claiming that the durians were his since the durian tree is on public property.
5 Graciousness
They can't fight over durians and other fruits. They must have graciousness, respect not selfishness, and must share their things with other people and friends. Mr Lim should have shared the durians he got with his neighbours, not by himself since the durian tree is public property, not his.
