The railway station has been around for more than eighty years so it surely has many interesting, historical items which the younger generation has never seen before. As such, such a conversion would allow the young people to learn more about the history and past of Singapore.

It would be fantastic if the railway station at Tanjong Pagar could become a gigantic fast food centre to satisfy the increasing number of young people in Singapore. Young people enjoy eating fast food like KFC, Burger King and MacDonalds. Alternatively, the railway station could also be converted into a posh restaurant, serving a great variety of sumptuous delicacies for both tourists and the locals.

i thimk that the railway station should be made into a museum.there could have many people and people can learn about the history.Many people need to learn to be gratful to have a place to stay and have the homes they are in now.We should thank our elders as they weny through many crisis. they build this city so that we,the people could have a better place to stay and live better in our lives.
I think that the railway station in Tanjong Pagar should be converted into a statue monument or maybe a museum.It can would be remembered by the younger generations.

I want it to be a mega big bookstore. It will have books from all around the world. There will be a mini foood station selling snacks like hot dogs, cup corn etc. This bookstore will be full of surprises like, you may find a basket full of candies hidden between the books. There will also be a ball pit( mostly for the younger kids) to play in. If they would really build this kind of bookstore, I would definatly go to it almost everybody.

I would like to see the railway station turn into a theme park.The theme park must be adult free,but the theme park should have cafe and shops and guides in case we get lost or get hurt,but these are the only adults that are allowed to go into this adult free theme park.This theme park is sure to attract many people because there are not going to be any adults to nag about what we do and what games we play.This theme park promises that there will be no 'this one cannot play!very dangerous!'

I want the Tanjong Pagar train station to be a museum as it will be a very nice information on the past to the future generation.They have to read the past as the future may be very very different as the present.I would like to make it also a place to have lots and lots of fun.I would also like to make the future generation very interested to the past as there are many different thigs at the past than at the future.For example a boy wanted a normal toy but in the future there are only high-tech ntoys so he could look at the past and see the difference.
I would like the station to be a charity home of African childrens as i heard that the children there can't be treated with their wounds as hospitals are very far away and don't have money for the surgery.I would also like the station tobe a hospital as i can't bear the pain of a small wound that i have but icould not believe that the african children can bear the pain at the age of 7.So i hope that the station would turn to a charity home.
If the authorities are going to convert the railway station at Tanjong pagar,I would like to see it become into a very big National Library that have three levels filled with new interesting story books.On the first level,I want it to be where you can borrow the books and where all the DVDs and CDs that we can borrow are.On the second level,I want it to be filled with kid's books for ages 6-12 years old.I would like the second level to have some comfy sofa chairs to sit and read on.On the third level,I would like it to have books about cooking too!Oh yes,I would also like the library to allow everybody to borrow as many books as we want.If they really convert the railway ststion into a library,I would go there very often.
I would like the Tangiong Pagar mrt station to become a museum as some artefacts have been found from the dessert, caves and many other more as the archeolegist has been founding lesser artefacts.People can go to the museum to view or see the polished artefacts therefore going through such hardwork.I think we should appeciate the atrefacts that the archeologist has found and thank them.

I would like to convert it into maybe an arcade "Time Zone",a restraunt,a night club or maybe a skateboard rink.I think it will attract many youths because i have seen many teenagers spending a lot of money on arcade games.I have also seen many teenagers going to skateboard rinks and hanging out together.
I think the Tanjong pagar railway station will be very crowded many people would like to visit it because it is a very old railway station that had been used since 3 MAY 1932.It will be use now as a musuem for people to visit.

If the railway station will be demolished, i would suggest building a park instead of an arcade or a shopping centre .

I would like to see the Tangjong Pagar Railway Station to be conserved as a national monument because many people have come into Singapore by this railway. the people who worked at the station and who came into Singapore by this railway might want to vist the tracks and the station to bring back old memories and the times when the KTM staff shared together. The goverment might want to put some posters or pictures around the station to tell us Singaporeans facts about how this station came about. I hope to see this railway station standing in the exact place where it now stands and many people visiting the track and the station.

I would like the railway station to become an amusement park. It would attract young people to come as amusement parks are rare in Singapore.There woulds be haunted houses that scares people and roller coaster rides that are very high and steep that would dare those young people to ride it.I would also like the railway station to become an arcade as arcades are fun.But there should be rules that bad people should not enter.It could also be a hotel for foreigners to stay in whilst admiring the nature and wildlife in Tajong Pagar.It could be anything!
I would want the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station to be a "Ghostly Ride in a Haunted House. This thrilling ride would scare people to make them scream at their top of their voices. People will seat on a Ghost Car. The Ghost Car would bring them around and people would experience what will be in the Afterlife. People would hear spooky sounds, whispering of the ghost or even blood coming towards them! Spiders would pop up in front of them, bats would fly above them and tracks may be broken. I would like the railway station to become a Science museum.In that museum,I want to have showcases of skeletal dinosaurs and all those electrical appliances and experiments.To make young children have their interest of the Science museum,there can be more science games in learning to let them play and I could also put up shows about the skeletal systems,electricity and others.Besides science,I could also display some things about history.Maybe some cages with small animals,insects and more will brighten them up.The children will also touch and feel materials of objects and let them decide if the objects are soft,hard,rough or smooth.I chose to build the science museum because many people are bored staying at home doing their homework,so this is why I chose this idea of building it to make it more fun and interesting for the children.:D
I would like to see the station become a hotel with robot services. You can ask for anything you want and anything you want to eat. If you need to do homework, just press a button(on the light switch), and a super high-tech table witll come out.(There will be spare stationary and a clipboard) There will be a double-deckle bed and a qween-sized bed also. The toilets are so called "1 million star toilet" becausethe toilet bowls can wash stuff, there is a 75CM bathtub and a robotic tap. Press the "run tap" button and the tap will run at our own temperature =D. How to get its own temperature? A sensor will sense your hand and it will detect to see the right temnperature. There is a swimming pool, length 100CM, width 100CM and depth, 30CM. An extra storeroom will be availible in the secret compartment. Where is the secret compartment? It is on the pressure plater on the floor.(Under the bed) Free Ipad, Ipod and many other's for use!(not to bring back)Actually, the secret compartment consists of ten safes. To close it, just pull down the lever. How are you going to carry everthng back home? Just put all the things on the floor and your address written on a piece of paper and the people there will carry everything back to your home.

I would like the station to become a water park.The station would have souvenir shops and other more shops .Futher inside the water park would have swimming pools,jacuzzi and a water playground.On the railway,there would be a train to run ont he railway.Therewill be a glass cover above the train but it would not be connected to the train.The glass will have tiny holes to let the water fall down while the train is passing by.As the train reaches the end ,the train will reverse and go back to the station.This is what i want the station to becom so more people will have fun around Singapore.

i would like the railway station to become a hotel as it has a lot of greenery over there and at time, there may be monkeys. the lush greenery can make people much more relaxing and comfortable. there can be some history or art information over there for people to read. if people are tired walking, they can go to the hotel and grab a bite while resting. the hotel would be popular if the tracks are made as an attraction. a hotel will be a perfect place over there for resting and relaxing and perfect place for tourism and forgeiners to stay temporary.
The railway station at Tanjong Pagar is now under Singapore.They still do not know what to do with the land as it will not be operating anymore.I think that it should be a park.I hope it will not be demolished as many people have many memorable memories of this place.It would also be good if it becomes a museum about the railway station.There could be a train moving and people standing inside the train can have a look at the musem things outside.In this way people who have not taken the train before can have a opportunity to take it now.

I would like the Tanjong Pagar railway station to become a museum for our future generations to see how the railway station looked and worked.I also wish that it is conserved the way it is.The railway station can have a exhibit where you can interact with the things placed there.A example of the things placed there can be the uniforms of former KTM staffs who wore those uniforms to work.(Of course these uniforms are clean.)They can put a exhibit of the main operations office so that the people can feel the experience of a station manager.They can also put a train in a room and let the visitors feel it.This will enrich our history and let all Singaporeans to see our history and remember Singapore.

I want the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station to become a... Maybe build a dance school and smoothen the pavement so that they can install some artifacts at the pavement. They can install a dance school so that they can train dancing and at the same time,admire the artifacts. And they can dance/perform in the nature for people walking at the railway to enjoy the dancing in nature. I do enjoy dancing and watching people dance in nature! You can enjoy the sounds of nature while watching people dance. And to smoothen the pavement so that the stage can be built for the trainees to dance/perform. I would loveto dance in nature but rather more see people dance while listening to sounds of nature. Since people come to Singapore by trains sometimes,if it works again,people in the trains coming to Singapore can enjoy people dancing!

I want the railway station to be a 'amusement' park.we will have a slow rollercoaster that is going slowly and we will display some artifacts,some stuff bout history like sir stamfort raffles or some stuff,.It will tour around with a rollercoaster.i delibrately make it slo because i will let the audience admire the displays.It will have safety measures,it will have seatbelts that retract under high speed.It will have a "autocall" snacks. if u want some snacks u can type in ur order and it will be delievered by some "food tubes".They will have to pay an admission of 20bucks.There will be some renovations to improve it.THANKS
The railway station is built in 1932 therefore they should preserve the building.They may convert it into a hotel or restaurant etc.I would like to see it become a history amusement park. I want Tanjong Pagar to be an amusement park full of fun , cool and "dangerous" roller coaster and rides. I can make all the roller coaster have 3-D effects to make the people riding the roller coaster seem like they are in another world like a planet, galaxy or universe. Each person on each seat of the roller coaster will get to select which type of "world" and which type of speed they want to. Furthermore, they can take as long as they want. they can also create hoe the world looks like and have what aliens or minsters in it. but they will charge five dollar per hour.

I want the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station to be a spacecenter for Singaporeans to go into outerspace as even kids can go on exciting missions. In future I want to see the KTM railway station as a theme park as there are very little theme park built in Singapore. But, I still want it as it is as our next generations could see it and know more about the railway's history. It should be made as a history museum and people can tour around how the office lokks like and give them a chance to walk on the track. Even me myself have walked on the track and it was quite fun and there are many plants around. We should hire tour guides too so that people can go there to look at Singapore's KTM Railway history.

I would want my railway station to be come a gigantic swimming pool.Our transport consists of two things a raft and the slide. the raft will set of into the 60km slide, stoping at certain inervals for the passengers to get of.
Okay I know it might be difficult for some adults but on the bright side..........
There is no bright side is there.But isn't this a small price to pay for such a intersting improvment to our mass transport system?

I would like to see the station become a kids' centre for kids ranging 0~15 years old. In order to make it become something young people will be interested in, there will be bouncy castles for babies and infants. There will be a game arcade for primary and secondary students. McDonalds will be there for luch eating purposes. Discount will be given as it is for kids. There will be free borrowing of game stations such as PS2 or Xbox. There will be movie rooms for watching movies and a free CD rental place.
I feel sad as the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station is officially stopping.The train station can tell many stories that happened in the last seventy to eighty years.I would like to leave it there and not demolish it as you can hardly see such beautiful scenerys in Singapore,but sadly, the government is using it for other uses once they demolish it.
The station can be changed into many other helpful uses so we should not feel sad.The historic station can be built to a museum or even hotel. But I think the best thing for it to become is a history museum and also some restaraunts.A history museum can tell us,young people,that Singapore had such a beautiful history,it can also tell us how badly we suffered during the World War.But most of all,it can remind them that there was this train service that sat in Tanjong Pagar for almost eighty years. the restaraunts are for the, to come eat when they are hungry or just go there for fun and relaxation.We shall not forget this train service.

I think it should be converted into a museum. Then it would be a national monument recognised by Singaporeans. People around the world will get to see this historic place that has been here for more than 80 years! This will be good also for future generations so they can see this monument. this will be alspo good for Singapore's business since many people will come to see this monument.
I would want the railway station to turn into a hotel with parts of the rails in the lobby and they can say something like, "This hotel is proudly opened to conserve the railway station." on a copper plate placed beside the rails.
There can also be a mueseum of pictures and information about the railway station.That would attract more people to come to the hotel and the best thing is that if there was the REAL TRAIN ITSESLF in the mueseum!If they want to earn even more $MONEY$,they can make a store to sell shirts,mugs and other souveiners for tourists or Singaporeans to take home!
But they might want to lower the prices a little so they don't lose $MONEY$.It might be one a really cool place many people might visit after all.
I think it should be a theme park as it is big and cooling place for people to go to.
It should be converted to a musuem showing the evolution of the statuion from the beggining to the end. Should also build a shop selling souveiners. As it is a historical place it is bound to atttract many tourist from all around the world. Maybe we would also bulid a unique bed and breakfast hotel using the old trains charging low overnmight stays, for those who are looking for adventures.

i think that the authorities should upgrade the mueseum but must be careful to keep the old customs alive.[eg paying to use the toilet].which we might not see in the latter future.
I would like the railway station to transform into a railway restaurant that will go through the whole of Singapore. The restaurnt wil be split into many sections : smoking section, casual, tourist, romantic. The different cause the people want, the different way the section is decorated. like the tourist section will have a better view.The railway will also become a major tourist attraction in where they can sightsee the whole singapore while having their meal at the same time. But , all passengers will have to pay an entrance fee of $2 to enter the train on top of their meal cost. They will also be given a max of 2h on the train so that evryone will get a chance. I think the railway station at Tanjong Pagar should become a museum, because it can then preserve the railway's long history.
I would want it to be a club which young people can hang out. There should be a coffee club and a internet cafe. There can be a swimming pool, BBQ pit and bowling alley.
My suggestion for it being a National Monument is it being half museum and half racing tracks. For the museum, they could put a train inside the mesuem and name some parts of the train or the railway tracks. It will be useful as it allows schools to bring thier pupils there for an excursion. The other half of the railway track can be a track for mini trains to race on ;like the F1. The mini can have a annual race. These racers come from many different countries to take part in this competition. In this way, we can learn from them(launguage, culture)and we can also make more friends!

The old Malysia-Singapore has been operating for almost 80 years, which is way past retiring stage. Homever, it is a railway system, so I guess it does not count. Any way, the singapore goverment has decided to let the system to "retire", so it has been closed down. However, the goverment has decided to turn it into a national mormunent. In my opinion, I would like to see it being turned into a museum, so we can understand how the system operated in the past. The KTM staff can also visit the museum and remember the old days working at the station!
I think I would like to see it become a restaurant with wifi and games to play like a room with Wii, PS3, XBOX KINECT, ipads, and many more things to play. There should be a playground for all the little kids to play in, and a casino forall the adults.
i would like the Tanjong Pagar station to become another station, only more high-tech.i would like it to have wi-fi, entertainment such as televisions and computers around.it should have signs to tell you when the train is coming and how much longer you have to wait for the next train.it can have shops around, like a station with a shopping mall. it can have a playground where children can play before the train arrives.it should have places where people can charge their handphones or laptop. i think if it has modern facilities, more young people will like it and they have more business.
I would like to see the MRT station become an ice-skating rink.just like many other people,i would love to ice-skate everydaybut it is always too expensiveand the real problem is that there is only one ice-skating rink in the whole of singaporeand even worse, its in the middle of nowhere (it is very far away and people have to travel very far just to go there to ice-skate).Thats why if the MRT station becomes an ice-skating rink, i would be elated!Even better, MRT stations are always located at places where there is a lot of housing estates and cvilisation so it will be very easy for peaple like me(who love ice-skating)or skaters to enjoy skating almost everyday!

I would like to see the station become a local enjoyment place for people to go there and enjoy it there.It can become a attraction for people to enjoy nature and the old train track.It should also have some stalls for poeple to buy some snacks or drinks.We could make a running track for triatholons and biatholons as they could get freash air and it will not inturrupt the drivers.They could also turn it into a musuem or a hotel or even a residential area for people to live there.If most posible,we can preserve it for generations to come.

I would like the railway station to become a sports centre. The sports centre would include a place to swim, play tennis, golf, netball, basketball, pingpong, table tennis, soccer, football, badminton e.t.c. I would like to have a sports centre because it would attract people of all ages who like to play sports. it would also encourage people of all ages to play more sports.The sports centre would attract everyone to come as it would be clean, it won't be too expensive and everyone can enjoy it as a family or only one person!

So thats why i think it shoud be restraunt as singapore is known as "food city".tourists can eat and enjoy the scenery^^
I think, in orderfor young people to be interested in this old train station, maybe the government could make it into somemthing with more mordern facilities as I do not think young people would like things that are old fashioned, but in order to keep this place always new, the government would need to spend quite alot of money$$ on this place. The place could have coffee shops and cafes but they must have free WI-FI! Maybe there could be some gadget selling shops for the older generations and toy shops for the younger generations to come. The could be bookshops too. In order to have this maybe, just maybe the place could be a..............shopping centre! But the station must remain...

I would want the railway station to be a library and a themepark. In the library should have special books that others don't have and they must be a food store which will sell all kinds of food,drinks store which will sell all kind of drink and a bookstore which will sell those books in the library. In the library, there should have a themepark in one side, when children don't want to read, they can go to the themepark to play and have fun , for those who want to read,there should have a corner for them to read. In the library, I hope it would have a mystery hole like a cave, People would go into the mystery hole to play with others, they will find some treasures and some other things, if that is really built, i would definetly bring my parents, cousins and family members there to play.
It was quite sad to hear that the Tanjong Pagar railway station is closed down. And the government is likely to convert it to museum, or office or perhaps even a hotel. But for me, I would want to change it to a five-star hotel with many facilities such as a Ground floor which has only swimming pools like a swimming pool with a water playground, a wave pool, a lap pool and maybe, there will be a long, swirly slide on a deep pool. And on the basement, there will be a buffet restaurant, a medium-size theatre and a path that leads to a fancy shopping mall where they sell almost everything you want. And the room will be really fancy. For those couples going on a honeymoon trip, the bed will be a king-size bed and there will be a large television to watch. The sofas will be very comfortable to sit on. There will be one bathtub, one shower and two toilet bowls in the toilet. So everything would be fancy but one thing is it would cost a lot. $$$

I would like to see the station become a toy museum that shows the earlier spinning tops to the latest and how electronic games came out.And we can throw in a few more exhibitions about how certain toys became the toys we see now. For the spinning tops, we can start with the tradional top,the Gasing, and end with the latest. For the electronic games, I will show what was the first electronic game and draw a timeline which ends with the latest electronic game.I will also put in some exhibits about 'Lego','Nerf' and 'Hotwheels'.These will attract the young as the love these things and they would be interested to find out how they improved through the years.There will also be a gift shop that the children can write down the toys they want and the staff will check the price,where to find the toyand a complete review on the toy for them.
