Being rich is a advantage.You can have the best tutors.It also can be a disadvantage beacause their parents will buy them the best games.Sometimes,they will not be paying attention in class because they will think that my tution tutor already thought me the topic so I do not need to pay attention in class.Being from a humble background is better as they may not have tution tutors so they will pay more attention in class.most of them do not have games so they might spend more time studying.
i think being rich is an advantage to students because they can buy more books to read and buy activity books to study.But being rich also has our own consequences like getting bullied losing money and others.Apart from being rich I also think that not being rich could also be an advantage although you cannot buy books or study nor read but you can still get good grades in school even though if our school is only a neighbourhood school but it does not mean that our school will carry a bad name saying " this school is a bad school" so i think i support not being rich in school is better than being rich in school
Being rich is not really an advantage for a student as the rich student might have very good tuition and all but does not pay any atention will not learn any thing.Whereas a poor student with no tution and pays all lot atention in class will learn much more than the rich one that does not pay atention.

Being rich is an advantage for a student.As now a days,the tuition fees are too expensive,so I think it is an advantage for a student to be rich.But if students are being rich to buy things like toys,X-box,Nintendo Wii,ect.I think it will be a disadvantage for a student to be rich.And for some other reason,if the students are willing to study really hard,then it can be an advantage for a student to be rich.And if also the students are wise their money,then it will also be advantage for the student to be rich.My answer for this question is yes.
Ia being rich really such an advantage for a student?
The good thing about being wealthy is your parents will buy lots of electronics games to make you happy and they will try not to make you unhappy or sad.
But the bad thing about being wealthy is you will be spoiled and when you grow up, you will not be able to be independent and you will be depending on money all the time. And when you are in school, nobody is going to take care of you pr feed you or whatever. So that is very bad.
The good thing about money that helps you do well is your parents will maybe hire an extremely good tuition teacher and they can buy lots of top schools examination paper.
The bad thing about money that makes you work harder is some parents will try not to make you unhappy like what I just said earlier, they will not stress you up by hiring a tuition teacher and buy top school examination paper. But when the examination paper comes, you will panic and ask your parents to hire a tuition teacher and buy top school examination paper but that would be to late.
So when you are rich, that does not mean that you must depend on money or not revise your schoolwork for examination paper.

WHY BEING WEALTHY WOULD HELP.
It will help because they can afford to buy school materials and other school items.Some people who are poor can't afford to buy new textbooks and workbooks so they will get hand-me-downs from other people who used it before.Some books might have scribbles on them so those pupils can't study well.That's why I say being wealthy would help.
WHY BEING WEALTHY MAKES SCHOOL MORE DIFFICULT.
The reason is because sometimes when they boast about everything from their house to their car and so on.So other people won't like that and start to ignore when they try to make friends.But there are some rich pupils who still have friends even if they boast and be super proud about their lives.It will be very difficult for them if they keep on doing like this. Then, it will make them depressed and their marks starts to drop.
WHAT ACTUALLY HELPS A STUDENT TO DO WELL?
Well,for me,I think it is to set goals to working harder at the start of the year and work towards it.If you want to work hard,you have to give up TV if you're always watching TV.Next,if you plan to study for six hours a day,and when the next day you miss about two hours,you must top up the two hours to the next day with totals of eight hours!
WHY COULD IT MAKE STUDYING HARDER?
If they come from a poor family,they would want to work hard for their family to make them proud and therefore,they can score As and also A*s.As for the others,they also want to work hard to make their parents proud too.

I think so, because when you are rich you get anything you want and when you get anything you would not be restless that " i want this i want that and your parents dont want buy then you would become angry and would fight then you can't study peacfully,get enough sleep,no get good marks !

Well it really depends on what type of person you are...
If you're really MEAN then being rich is a bad thing because you're gonna get spoilt and boss your friend around. If you are kind-hearted then it'll be such an advantage because you wont boss your friends around and you could use the money for your education...

I'm not sure what it would be like to be rich... Would life be easy? Or would my parents not be able to spend time with me anymore...? If giving up the time to spend with my parents for being rich, I would never want to be rich. Because if you are rich then that means that your parents' have to work REALLY Really really hard and that means they don't have time to spend with you and that would be horrible!!! The last thing I would give up is anything to do with my family.

Being rich to me is an advantage.
We can afford to pay for a good tutor when we are rich.We can also donate more money to charity or countries in crisis.With more money ,we can afford to do more prototypes,so that the final project is more impressive.
Being rich also have it's bad points.If parents buy you expensive stuff,people will envy you and may call you a show-off.Classmates may not want to be your friend,this causes desperation and you will find school meaningless.If you come from a poor family,it does not mean your academic results will be bad,if you pay attention in class and work hard,you still can achieve outstanding results

Yes,being rich is really an advantage for a student as when we are young,it is the time we have the energy to carry out and achieve what we want to.It is also a time of learning and of discovering new things about the world around us.Without money, these are impossible.However, there are some students who came from rich families and being rich might make them more difficult to work and study hard. Usually, these students are lazy, lack of discipline and they take things for granted. They do not need to worry about thier studies as their parents will hire the best tutors for them. They do not worry about their daily expenses as their parents will support them. To them, everything seems to come so easily and these made them lack of dicipline, which makes the difference between being rich is really an advantage or disadvantage for a student.

being rich can make you show off and your parents will make you go to lots of tuition classes and will make you go under a lot of stress, making your results poor
Being rich might not be such an advantage as even if your parents shower you with e-dictionarys, tuition and assessment books you must have the effort to use it or it will be just wasting your parents' hard-earned money. And rich children might be influenced by the fact that they have the best of everything, that they are the best and would not even work hard for exams. While the poor children who are motivated to have a good life strive hard to achieve that goal. But if the rich children make use of what they have they will pass their exams with flying colours. But being rich might give people the impression of being bossy, spoilt, rude and stubborn. As a result, you may have less friends in school. So being rich does have its pros and cons.

Being born in a rich family is a blessing and cannot be controlled by the student. The student is passive to what parents do with their money and how they spend on us or our studies.
The rich student has more space and peace to study and more resources to research for their learning.
But it depends on the individual,with the right focus and determination, the poor student can also go to the public or school library to do similar.
With the determination and motivation, we are all the same in the Singapore education system.

i think the boy should carry the bag.he is in national service,he is suppose to train to be independant.The maid is for helping to do house chores and etc when no one is at home .in war no one will help him because everyone need to help themselves.He is too lazy.
With reference on the article on pg 4 ,I think the young man should carry his own backpack. Because , he is going to the army , army is a place for guys to trained to be a real man.Nobody can helped him carry his backpack at his army . Also , a real man that is supposed to be ready for army , should not ask his maid to help him ! Plus , the maid is a girl..A girl is not supposed to hold something for a guy , no matter what..This article on pg 4 , I hope , This can teach some lessons within the boys ,around the world..
It should be the guy carrying his own bag not his maid because his bag should be his own responsibility. He should be strong enough to carry his heavy bag not his maid because she is a lady. That guy should be ashamed of himself! What a lazy pig!

I think that the man who is in army should carry His own bag by himself. it is because that it is his bag and he has the responsibility to carry and not let other carry. Even if the person who is helping you carry the bag is your maid you still ought to take the bag and carry it your ownself instead of asking your maid to carry, even though she is a maid but she is still a human being. like example if someone ask you to help him/her to carry the bag you will also not like it.. So the more we should carry our bag ourself
And in the war, the maid will not help the man to carry the bag.
So everyone should carry their bag by themself because they have a responsibility and not to let others carry it for u.
If I was rich,I will have an advantage of other people and disadvantage.

I think being rich is OK a bit.If i was rich,i would probably donate a few hundred thousands for charity.I would not waste it like i have no life.Would you?
To me rich is a advantage and also a disavantage.
Advantage:you get very good tutors,stationary and almost everything is good or branded.you also get a lot of pocket money everyday.you also get to live in uxury houses like bungalows, semi detach or terrace houses.
Disavantage:Parents get a very high expectations of you. you might not get many friends. you might get easily stressed becaues of the balance between school homework,tution homework and assessment work.
Well,on one hand I dont think being rich is an advantage to students. If you are rich and well-to-do, you might not pay attention in class as you might think that if you are rich, you dont need a job. They will think that since they have enough money or much more money than any average people, they think that they can get the best tuition teacher. As for being rich, the child will want to buy alot of toys and game consoles. But when they buy those games, they will not focus not on their studies but on their games. But on the other hand being rich is an advantage if the child is not playful and have common sense. I say this because if you have common sense you will know that even you are rich, start early and make great effort. If you are rich and your studies are good, you can have all the consoles or toys you want. So I think being rich is an advantage and an disadvantage.
Yes, It is an advantage because when you have money you can afford tuition but why are rich people so lazy? it is because we dont know what is like to be poor and not being able to afford things that can help with studies. you just need discipline and determination to get better in your studies.
I think it is a disadvantage as if you are rich, you will intend to show off and people would not like you.
