I think it is important to speak good English because sometimes people don't understand your language. Almost all the people I know speak the opposite of English, which is Singlish. Some examples is that when a student in the classroom asked his friend to lend him a pencil,he will say "borrow me a pencil can?" Instead of saying"can you lend me a pencil". Another thing is when people are borrowing money from each other, the person asking for the money will say "borrow me $5 can?" Instead of saying "can you lend me $5?". It is an advantage to know good English you know.
It is important to speak English because other poeple will understand what are you trying to say.It is also a habit for us to speak English properly.If we dont speak good English other people from other countries will not know what are you telling them.It is not good to speak singlish for example like,what la, ok la, nevermind one la, thats speakng broken English.
Its good to speak english so that we understand each other clearly. Singlish is a literal translation from chinese into english without taking care of the grammar.

It is important because people from other country will thought that our english is bad.Everyday,i will talk to my friends or teacher for example,"Teacher can i go to the toilet" become "teacher go toilet."or "What are you saying" become "What you saying."
these are some examples that are singlish ending;la, lor,wah lou. i think we should speak good english.
It is important to speak good English because you must say words properly to make people understand you, make them know wat you want to say.

" May I borrow some money from you?"
"Can you lend me a pencil?"
"I love my parents, they are the best in the world!"
Ok, now we move on to Singlish. It is commonly said that it is English and Chinese combine together. It is also opposite English.
These are some examples of Singlish,
"Ah Gong, give me something to eat leh!"
"This one correct meh/mah?"
"Wei,Wei! Give me my screwdriver lah! The hole so big sia!"
Those are Singlish used by people. They should be changed to, "Please", "May I", "Can I" or others. This is also no respect to others.

It is important to speak good english because if you are not speaking good english , people might not be able to understand you. Yet if you speak too good english , it will be more harder for people to hear what you are saying. Saying bad english is the same as speaking singlish. this is an example of speaking bad english. "This pencil is my one." When it should be " This pencil is mine." or "This pencil belongs to me." It is better for us to not speak bad english or too good english. I have spotted many mistakes people make when it comes to speaking bad english for example , "This one borrow me can?" and "Teacher, go toilet?" This might make people think that you are meaning other things. For speaking good english , many people pronouns the word too well , people will have many trouble hearing you. Especially on the phone . If they have recorded their voices , they speak really good english and sound every word correctly and pronouns it very well. These are some problems that might occur some people to misunderstand what you are saying. So you might as well say not to bad english and not too good english if you want other people to understand.
Its important to speak good english because If we speak it wrongly we will be learning Improper english words. But if we speak properly we can not only learn better we can also use the good phrases in your composition exams. I have made several mistakes at home but i cant really remember it. I have never encounted any bad english with other people. If you dont want to make mistakes in your everyday life read more book like Jack and the beanstalk,It has lots of good words or read enid bliton it has words like "Flunged out of the window" or "Puff of smoke" but if you are lazy you will not improve at all! If yo dont want to read book you can look at YouTube and search "how to speak clearly" I'm sure it has a vedio on it. Another way is you can approch your teacher for some help of word that you do not know. There is lots of benifits like scoring good marks in exams, Getting good marks in Comprehensions. We should learn good english instead of the singlish its not really good english, Singlish is words like "Lah" "ai yo!" "Lor". Its like a game, when you just join you do not know anything but when you play for about 4 months you know everything so its like first you dont know good english and later you know all the good english and phrases. Thats all I want to say thank you :D

One of the mistakes I spotted in my everyday encounters with people. Is when mother aks my sister,Jewel, to do something Jewel will always say, "okay lah".Then when Jewel agrees to what I say she will say, "yah loh".
It is important that we speak good english,if we don't speak proper english,then people around us won't understand us.During normal days,we usually spotted people talking improper english that make us don't understand what we are saying.people around us do make mistakes especially when people talk broken english,people usually say "what you doing?"they should put the 'are' in the sentence.people also say words like "Ya La" or "Ok La'.but in english,there is no such word like that.So i encourage people to change your habits on speaking broken english and speak proper english. :)
It is an important thing to speak proper English because if we don't speak proper English,people might laugh ay us. 0.0 When I am reading my friend's journal, I saw that they use informal and ungrammatical phrases.We must check our spellings before we show it to anyone.This could prevent them from laughing.If we do not know how to say the word,we can ask adults to help us.
It is important because if you speak bad english.People don't know what you are saying.Then people thought you are crazy.I encounters my friend say:"Mdm wu" to her mother. If you are not good in english just pratise it alot of time.It is important to speak english because alot of country speaks english.It is important to speak english because you mostly speak english language to your friends and to tourists.The dsanger is that if we used to speaking english badly,we stop noticing our mistakes,and accept them as the normal word you say.If you don't know english you might even accidently say a bad word that will hurt your friends or family.
It is important because it could be good for our future.If we talked to a other people who is good in English and we are bad in English,the person will not get what we meant.The mistake i spotted is saying the word "lah" and "lor" "lah" or "lor" will make us used ti it and we will always speak broken English in this way.

Some of the encounters are examples.Spelling,punctuation,grammar and volcabulary.Like a question freom my exam paper(for revision).the question neither Felica or Wionona_ friendly. I wrote are in the_ instead of is .wasn't that carless f me to do write that?small mistakes would became Big mistakes.so we have to check our work and try to prevent from making grammar an volcabularey mistakes.some people speak in english while some speak in chinese,malay and many more.english is more common around the world.

It is important to speak good english because if you don't speak good english properly,people might think you are saying something else. If theword you are trying to say is a very important word ,and you say the word wrongly people might think that you are saying other things. It may cause alot of confusion. Sometimes, in my homework,there are afew spelling mistakes. Even sometimes the work sheet say about something in the front. But at the back it say a different thing. Yhis cause me to not understand the work.

It is good to speak good english.Sometime when you go to some places or some countries,if you do not speak good english some people may not understand the way you are speaking.Many people,even though they know what they ought to say,wind up speaking english incorrectly,and using informal,ungrammatical phares called colloquialisms.In my everyday encounters I spot some of my friends and classmates not speaking good english.For example like "borrow me a green pen" la or "borrow me your highlighter."Speaking very good english is important.If you speak good english you may also broadcast some news. it is important to speak good because people from other countries might not understand what you are speaking.if you speak poor english people may think that you are not professional.if you go on a job interview and there is one person to chosen between two people and one person speaks proper english while the other speaks improper endlish they will chose the person who speaks proper english some people think that speaking improper english is very cool but it is totally uncool.a lot of people in singapore speak sing-lish .i hope the number will be lesser.speaking good english is better.
It is important to speak good english because people can understand you better.Many singaporeans speak colloquisms(ungrammatical phrases).It will be a habit if you keep saying colloquialisms,you will not realise your mistakes and accept them as a norm.Many people are used to say:'can borrow me $5?'It is sopposed to be,Can you lend me $5?I myself also say colloquialisms I myself must learn not to speak that.Almost out of 100% speak good english,98% speak colloquialisms!

'Go and kill your neighbours.' While explaining something,you need to explain properly or it will become another meaning. Like 'Teacher i am finished.' That means 'Teacher i am dying'
It is important to speak good english as if you go to america or another country,and you speak unproper english,people over at america will not understand what you are saying.
But if you speak proper english and pronouce the word in the right way they may understand what you are saying.Example of the mistakes I spotted is people speak singlish EG.LAH,OH and so on ......People will be able to change the way they speak if they practise more.How to practise ?Maybe when they speak singlish thier family members can tell them and in that way it will be easier to practise the proper way to speak english.

In everyday life,there are many mistakes made by people around me, like, neighbours, students and more. Last time, when a person speak wrong english,the person who is listening will look down on the person who spoke wrong english or feel that the person is not clever.But now most people do not speak proper english, they might use the wrong tense .the common mistake that people do nowadays is that they will add like(lo,la huh,ma and che)at the end of the sentense. Because we use those in chinese.Even me also nomally speak bad english.If we go travelling and speak bad english in that country, they will make their country shameful.But if everyone do not speak bad english,they will maketheir country proud.
Ir is good to say good English because if we dont speak good english because people would bnot understand what will you say if you speak bad english!If we dont speak and when we go other countries the people will not understand what we say.
English is very improtant because wwhen we grow up we have to speak english.And people come from other country,most of them only know how to speak english.In our class lots of my classmate can speak good english.And our english oral exam also need to speak good english,to get high marks.so,i think speak good english is improtant.

Good english is always important to me. I moved to Singapore two years ago and when I moved, I spoke normal english... And still, I don't speak Singlish even though all my friends influence me to it. My mummy always told me that I should never speak Singlish whatever the cost (well maybe not all costs). My friend's friend moved to Singapore last year and he already speaks Singlish. Sometimes I can't understand my friends and I have to ask them to repeat and repeat all over again which is a waste of time. To be honest, I don't actually know why people speak Singlish. Is it relaxing or something? Well whatever the reason is, it couldn't be reasonable.

It is good to speak good English so that there won't have any misunderstandings. It also allows better commmunication with your fellow friends. Examples like using "please reply" or "please revert back" instead of saying "please come back to me."
